Interspecies Soundscape Co-Creations
‘TORC – Songs of the Earth and Cosmos’ is a music/soundscape album that I co-created with the Animals, Nature and Spirits. It would not be here without a cat named Pixie and a fox couple named Zenith and Maude. The album is available to listen to on SoundCloud. It is complete at 8 tracks to symbolise infinity, but I am in the process of honing 2 more ‘bonus’ tracks so the total will be 10. 1+0 = 1 = full circle. A Torc is a circular Celtic piece of ancient jewellery often made of gold which to me symbolises our divinity, our connection to Mother Nature and how life is a circle, neverending.

The dance we call life, the ritual of being, and the longing we all sense are what Gillian likes to explore with her art. The meaning behind being “human” and simply “being” is expressed through sculptures in time and space. Searching, sometimes sifting, through vast, varied continents imbues Gillian with the deep desire to expose how connected and disconnected we are on Earth to All Life,
All Species,
All Beings.
